Shrine of the Syed Mir Hashim r.a is a major source of religious attraction to the locals in particular and foreigners in common which is situated 5 km from Sankoo on NH 301 in the Karpokhar village. The believers of shittè community had a deep affection with the shrine. The devotees used to visit the shrine atleast once a year. They had a great belief that their wishes get fulfilled if they pray on the behalf of the religious priest.
Apocho Syed Mir Hashim came to Ladakh to shover the preaching of Islamic faith in the 16th century. Under his preaching a large section of people converted into Islam.
